Where is the studio located?

We are in the heart of Downtown Petaluma, California located on the Upper Deck of the Great Petaluma Mill.  We’re on the opposite side of 24hr Fitness, with a breathtaking view overlooking the Petaluma River.

What is the Policy for (New Clients)?

We ask that you arrive at least 5min before the scheduled class you want to take, so there is not an interruption of the class.  New clients are not able to enter a class late. There is paperwork (Intake Form/Liability Form) that needs to be filled out prior to class, if you are late we would just ask that you return to the next desired class with your intake forms completed.

What does “Aloha Kai” mean?

In Hawaiian language ~

Aloha means ~ Love, Respect, Compassion, Affection & Peace.

(Alo) means “Presence” ~ (Ha) means “Breath”  ~ (Kai) means “Ocean”

“God’s (Presence) surrounds you, His (Breath) fills you, and His Grace washes over you like the waves of the (Ocean)”  ~Aloha Kai~

“Be (Present) with every (Breath) and flow through your practice like the waves of the “Ocean”  ~Aloha Kai~

Do you offer a Military Discount?

YES!!! We are so thankful and grateful for the sacrifices that they make on a daily basis, and our way of saying thank you is by offering a 15% discount to all those who present a military I.D at time of purchase.

You say Aloha instead of Namaste…Why?

We are a unique studio in many ways and are set apart from the traditional philosophy of Yoga.  We love the fact that we’ve been able to bring the Aloha Spirit to Petaluma and Sonoma County.  As it is stated above, Aloha ~ in Hawaiian language ~ means Respect, Love, Compassion, Affection & Peace.  So when we say ~Aloha~ to eachother at the end of each class/session, we are saying, “I give you Love, Respect, Compassion & Affection.”  It’s something that is very special to us, and close to our hearts.  Aloha my friends!

Do I have to sign-up for classes online?

We offer a scheduling app that’s very user friendly MINDBODY.  It’s super easy to download onto your phone and do all your own scheduling and purchasing at your convenience.  We ask, and appreciate you signing up on the MINDBODY APP in advance, but it’s not required.

Can I come to any class even if I’ve never done Yoga, Pilates, or Barre?

YES!

We always say, “Come as you are” And if that means you’re brand new to the practice that’s just fine.  Do what you can, and whenever you feel you need to take a moment, do so.  You do have the option of doing a few Private session in the beginning, of any of the modalities that we offer first, to get familiar in the practice and in your own skin.

Always listen to your body!

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing. Fitted tank-top/t-shirt/yoga pants/leggings.  Nothing really too loose, shirts that hang down, or pants that have baggy ankles.  You want to be able to focus on your workout, not your clothing getting in the way.

 

Do I need to bring my own mat and props?

We offer Mats, Straps, Blocks, Waters & Towels, for your convenience.  We do recommend that if you have a regular practice that you invest in a good supportive Yoga Mat.
